An Encouraging Word for You...

Santa Barbara California surf photos and images

I have been blessed with an opportunity to share my God given creativity in my conceptual drawings and project photos showing how my clients have incorporated those ideas into their beautiful homes and landscapes.

I regularly pray for clients, projects, and those I am to work with. I believe it is a key strategy that has led to a successful life in creating remarkable projects.

Like most... I am intensely engaged in the excitement that comes with seeing creative thoughts become reality.

It is natural to to get excited about the next big idea, project or endeavor.

A few years ago, I started to notice alot of extra effort in trying to attain happiness and contentment through self-sufficiency and in creating a quality design business.

As I reached certain goals and began to work with famous people, higher end projects, etc...

I started to realize these accomplishments would only be temporal, with regard to a deep inner satisfaction within my heart, mind and soul.

A lot of folks think that the Bible is a "has been", old fashioned piece of literature that doesn't have any relevance today. I have found it to be just the opposite. Once I actually started to open and read it... I began to find insightful truthes that DO apply to modern life. I now view it as a quality, Guide Book to successful living. Scroll further down to read some very encouraging examples.

First: King Solomon lived about 3000 years ago. He was considered one of the richest and wisest men in the world. He is credited for writing a lot of the Proverbs in the Bible, and also wrote the book of Ecclesiastes.

In Ecclesiastes chapter 2, he jots his memoirs, escapades, accomplishments. With his massive wealth, he undertook great projects and built magnificent homes, planted vineyards and made stunning gardens and parks. But at the end of his life, he admitted that everything he physically and mentally toiled to achieve, ended up "meaningless and a chasing after the wind"...

In Proverbs 3:21-23 he writes: "My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble..."

The eventual emptiness that comes after the project excitement is over... always leads me back to wanting to nurture and develop my relationship and friendship with the great Designer- my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Long term... it has proven to be the only sustainable and consistently satisfying aspect of my inner life.

I have grown to believe that there is a God shaped void in all of our hearts, and only He can fill it.

He has a wonderful life for you and I, and it is up to us to seek and ask Him for it.

So why be so bold with my Faith?

Viewers from all over the world visit this website each month. I appreciate that you have taken your valuable time to review the effort I have put in to it.

But more important... I would like the chance to inspire and encourage you to seek your highest calling.

There is an everlasting contentment and peace that is available to all of us when we accept ourselves for how and why we were each created by our Maker.

It's not always easy... Seeking, nurturing and beginning to trust and develop a more personal relationship with our Creator often takes a deliberate, focused effort.

In the long term, I believe it is worth it for us- as it answers those many gnawing questions, and fills a void that can never be filled with beautiful "things".
